Hello, Crafty Friends!!!
Happy WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!!! Wahoo!! Today, I am showcasing a card using the newly released Blooming Branch. I am loving how this card turned out since I decided to do a few hand-drawn flourishes to accent the border. Definitely a first for me. Eeks!
I wanted to keep this card simple, but elegant and with the Blooming Branch collection of stamps, dies and stencils it was possible to achieve the desired look. Often, I get lost in process of pushing myself creatively and end up spending hours on one card. However, sometimes, I would like to just make a pretty card and this card is a reflection of that desire. To create this card, I started by stamping, stenciling, and diecutting the Blooming Branch. Using a Copic marker fine liner pen, I hand drew flourishes along the card's border. Once complete, I masked the area and applied varying shades of purple hues to the right-hand corner. The background seem to be lacking a bit of visual excitement, so I stamped the floral bouquet onto the panel in black dye ink. Once I was satisfied, I adhered the floral bunch to the A2 panel using foam tape and added a sentiment from the Celebrating You collection.
