Pinkfresh Studio| Washi Release

Happy Friday, Crafty Friends!!!

I hope you are ready to be dazzled and amazed. Pinkfresh Studio is releasing washi tape rolls where you diecut the print! Say what?? That is correct, the lovely design on Pinkfresh Studio's washi is diecuttable. Hmmm...is that a word?  The hop is taking place on Instagram (HERE), but I wanted to share a few details regarding today's card projects.

Today's card projects feature the new Indigo Vines coordinating stamp, die, and washi tape. To create my first card, I started by taking a piece of 4.5 x 8.5  heavy white cardstock and adhered the Indigo Vine washi tape to the cardstock. From there, I diecut the washi/cardstock sample. Just one complete piece of the Indigo Vine pattern yields one wreath and seven vine bouquets. The washi is stunning.

I love the washi tape's color palette and wanted to mimic this with my two card projects. I used the dye inks Stargazer, Storm, Slumber, and Detail Black to ink an A2 card front. Once the card panel was inked, I used the Indigo Vine stamp to stamp out a cascading vine. I then layered the washi diecut pieces onto the front card panel and around the eclipsed diagonal stripe border. A few inky splatters and the bird from the Folk Hummingbird stamp/die combination completes this card.

My second card uses similar elements but incorporates more geometric design features using the Diagonal Stitched Plaid and Diagonal Stitched Circles. An inky circle acts as a grounding element for the folk hummingbird and Indigo Vines images. The hummingbird is stamped with Misty Coast and colored with Copic markers and colored pencils. A simple sentiment and jewel, for the bird's eye, completes this card.

I thank you for spending time with me. There is more inspiration to be enjoyed. A complete Instagram Hop list can be found on Pinkfresh Studio's Instagram (HERE). As with each release, there is a chance to win the ENTIRE release and a total of 10 $25 gift cards! To be eligible, follow the @pinkfreshstudio, @confessions_of_a_paperholic, and leave a comment along the hop posts. Winners will be posted on Pinkfresh Studio's Instagram feed on March 19th.

Good Luck and Happy Crafting!
