Happy Monday. Today, I am sharing another post featuring stamps and dies from the new Ex Libris collection from Catherine Pooler. This card is designed using the new Apothecary inks and Filigree Background stamp.
This card came together quickly and makes for an easy card to make and send to a beloved friend or family member. To create this card, I first inked an A2-sized card front with the new Apothecary colors, Ginger, Apricot, Terracotta, and Wintergreen. Once dry, I heat embossed the panel with white embossing powder and the Filigree Background stamp. I completed the card with the "You are in my thoughts" sentiment and the single bird from the Lovebirds collection.

The new Catherine Pooler Ex Libris release is now LIVE! I hope you had a chance to see the amazing sneak peeks over the last several days, and yes, the newly released inks are FABULOUS. Today, I am sharing a card featuring the Lovebirds stamp/die and Cross Your Xs Coverplate.

The Lovebirds collection is too cute and are so fun to color. To create the first card, I start by using Twilight ink to design my birdcage pattern background on a piece of A2 white cardstock. I then take a piece of medium gray cardstock and use a square nesting die to create a geometric design in the top layering panel. Before adhering the gray panel, I heat embossed the "Sending Congratulations" sentiment and added the lovebirds as the finishing touch.

My second card pairs together the Lovebird set with the Cross Your Xs Coverplate. I decided to keep this card very simple. After coloring the single Lovebird, I diecut the coverplate from white cardstock and adhered this to an A2 card base using foam adhesive. The simple "You are in my thoughts today" sentiment is heat embossed onto vellum cardstock and the lovebird adhered with foam tape.

Happy Release Day! The new March release for Ellen Hutson is now available! I made a few cards featuring the new Abstract Nature and Casual Taglines stamp sets. The Abstract Nature stamp set speaks to my creative soul since I love abstract art.
Let me tell you, while abstract art is my jam, creating abstract art is nerve-wracking for me. Abstract art to me is about the artistry of shape and form and distilling the images we see down to their essence. No small feat for sure. I cannot say that is what I was able to accomplish since I did not have a particular image in mind, but rather, I love the organic symmetry of the shapes.
To create this card, I created two matching inked panels using the Abstract Nature stamp set paired with the Casual Greetings and Nice of You die along with a mix of inks from Catherine Pooler and Concord & 9th. I really like the shape of the Nice of You die and wanted to include this in my design. I love how the addition of the die creates depth and visual interest. Using my MISTI, I inked a rainbow panel of shapes onto two A2 white card panels. After I had completed my design, I took one of the panels and diecut it using the Nice of You die. I then used the sentiment strips to create the raised panels that match the first panel and adhered them using foam adhesive. A simple sentiment and black enamel dots complete this card.
My second card just makes me smile because the sentiment is funny and reminds me of my hubby. I love to visit our local museums for inspiration and the Contemporary Art Museum is amazing. However, my husband does not share my views, hence the sentiment is fitting for him when I drag him to another contemporary installation.
I created this card using many of the same techniques as the first card. I used the Abstract Nature and the classic Bokeh Dots stamp set to design my background panel. Once I had my two panels, I used one panel to diecut the word "Seriously" using the Classic Block Alpha set and paired this with the hilarious sentiments from the Casual Taglines stamp set. I think this card pretty much speaks for itself...seriously.

Today is all about my favorite design elements...GEOMETRIC SHAPES and LUXE colors!! Yes!
Okay, put saturated color and geometric shapes together and call me a happy crafter! The new Half Circle Background stamp and coordinating cover plate are a blast to play with and creativity is only limited by one's imagination. To create this card, I inked the stamp using the new Luxe color palette onto a 5x7 piece of white cardstock. I then used the cover plate to diecut the panel and was left with a handful of colorful half-circle diecut pieces. Using another piece of white cardstock, I masked a one-inch strip and inked it using a Luxe color palette and added a few black inky splatters. Once dry, I arranged a geometric pattern using the diecut pieces and completed the card by adding a simple sentiment from the World of Sentiments stamp set.

The new Global Adventure release from Catherine Pooler is available (HERE). If you were able to catch the Facebook live, then you know that this collection offers amazing stamps, dies, and pattern papers with a folksy, world-traveler feel. And the new inks are sure to be on your wish list.
To create my card, I used the new We Fit, nesting dolls, stamp and coordinating die set. I stamped the image onto Copic-friendly cardstock and set aside. I then created a circular mask using masking paper and a circle die. I adhered the low-tack masking paper to an A2 white cardstock panel and used the smaller floral stamps from the set to ink my background. I then Copic colored a few of the leaves and added Dandelion Nuvo Drops to the berries. Once dry, I colored my two images and adhered them to the card base with foam adhesive. A simple sentiment completes this card.

Today is the release of Catherine Pooler's April Showers Bring Collection. I am showcasing two cards featuring the Pitter Patterns and Puddle Play coordinating stamp and die set.
Okay, I am a HUGE fan of geometric shapes so when I saw the new April Showers Bring Collection from Catherine Pooler, I was excited to have an opportunity to play with these awesome stamps and dies. My first card features the Puddle Play stamp and coordinating die. I created a shaker card with the A Little Drizzle slimline paper pad and Portland sequins. I love the bear from the stamp set. I used my Copic Markers and colored pencils to color my stamped bear image along with a few puddles. A sentiment and a few raindrops from the Pitter Patterns stamped in pale blue completes this card.
Card number two uses the Pitter Patterns stamps and dies, and of course a cute fox from Puddle Play. The dies from the Pitter Pattern collection are awesome! I definitely put those dies to work in my design. I used the dies to create a bold graphic design, grounded by a stripe of blue using the It's A Boy dye ink. A simple sentiment completes this card.
