Pinkfresh Studio Blog Hop| April Release

Happy Thursday, Crafty Friends!

Today is Pinkfresh Studio's April Release! Pinkfresh Studio is back with more AMAZING stamps, dies, stencils, and hot foil stamps. Personally, I am in love with the hot foil sentiment stamps (insert emoji face with hearts for eyes). This release is definitely swoon-worthy. 

For this release, I had a chance to create with the Reason to Smile Wreath.  This is a lovely stamp, die, and stencil collection. The wreath image will take up the entire front of an A2-sized card, which means the image the perfect size to create a gatefold card! Yep! To create my card design, I started by stamping, diecutting, and stenciling the wreath image onto white cardstock. Once complete, I used colored pencils to add shading to the leaves and the flowers from the Be Strong stamp collection. 

To create the gatefold, I cut a 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 panel and inked it using Clementine and Lemon Whip dye ink. I then scored my completed wreaths and adhered them to the back of the panel. I like using velcro circles as a closure. You can find a similar product in the sewing aisles of your local craft store. A simple sentiment along with a wooden heart completes the gatefold panel. 

I like getting the most from my stamps, so I stamped and diecut two additional wreaths and used these to add visual interest and depth to the white A2 card base. I love when I can use my stamps and dies in new ways. I hope this card inspires you to try something new with your stamps and dies.
