Grateful For You!

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends,

I hope this post finds you well and enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Today, I am popping in to share a card featuring Matchy Matchy-Foodie Friends, Flippin' Awesome and So Many Thanks. I love it when I "rediscover" stamps and dies in my craft room. These three sets came out at three vastly different times, and yet work together beautifully to create a fun card.

To create this card, I started by stamping a Sugar Cube panel with the cheese grater stamp from the Flippin' Awesome stamp set in Sprinkles and Candy Corn dye ink. I then stamped, Copic colored and die cut the happy cheese grater from the Matchy Matchy-Foodie Friends stamp set. I die cut several cheese slices using the Little Bits-Mac & Cheese from Candy Corn and Lemon Meringue cardstock to act as a backdrop for my smiling foodie fan. A "grateful for you" sentiment and heart enamel shape completes this fun card.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a chance to head into your crafty space this weekend to rediscover a few hidden stamp/die gems in your own stash.

Happy Crafting,

Keia

Taylored Expressions Mini Release...Happy Father's Day!

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends,

Mother's Day is around the corner, like Sunday! And get ready for this, Father's Day is quickly approaching, too! Time to head into the craft room and create a few amazing cards for the occasion. Today's card features Inky Fingers-Monsters and just in time for Father's Day.

This was a quick card to make, and it was fun involving me little ones in its creation. I die cut a Sugar Cube panel using the Frayed Edge Stacklets. I stamped the sentiment "Happy Father's Day..." using Oreo dye ink and stamped four little monsters around the sentiment. The little monsters' bodies are my boys' fingerprints, which I them embellished using Copic markers, colored pencils and Copic Opaque White. To add a little visual interest, I used a ruler and Copic Multiliner to draw a partial geometric border around the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by. For more inspiration from the Creative Team and information regarding the new mini-release products, visit the Taylored Expressions Blog (HERE). Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Crafting,

Keia

Thanks Dad! You Are The Best Spider Killer In the World

Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends,

Today, I am sharing a funny Father's Day card. This card is perfect for my husband, who is forever slaying spiders for our eight year old. It doesn't matter place or time, you can hear our youngest calling, "Daddy, there is a spider. Please come take care of it!" And a few seconds later, my husband goes in search of the unwanted guest. This card is a tribute to my husband and his heroics for our son.

To create this card, I used Oreo dye ink to stencil a partial spiderweb onto Sugar Cube cardstock. I then stamped, Copic-colored and die cut the cute little monster hiding behind the Caps Lock-Dad, which is die cut from Blue Raspberry cardstock. The Sitting Pretty Halloween Accessories provide the perfect accents, spiders and spiderweb, both are die cut from Oreo cardstock. A sentiment completes this card.

Thank you for stopping by! Don't forget to visit the Taylored Expressions store (HERE) for a little something extra for you...I mean the dads in your life.

Happy Crafting,

Keia

Taylored Expressions: One Background Stamp Used Three Different Ways

Happy Friday Crafty Friends!

I love today! Today the sun is shining and I am heading to the craft room after catching up with some of my favorite people, YOU! Today, I am sharing projects featuring one background stamp used three different ways.

I enjoy using background stamps, and it is easy to only use them in the one capacity--to stamp a background! However, background stamps can be used in many different ways. I created a trio of cards, using a similar color palette, to create a background border, background-on-background, and a background as a focal point. Today's projects feature the Heart in Bloom background stamp. Let's CREATE!
