Taylored Expression Sneak Peek Day 2: It Takes A Big Heart To Teach Little Minds

Happy Tuesday Taylored Expression Fans and Crafty Friends!

Well, what did you think? Are you ready for spring? Did the TE Creative Team inspire you to create? Today, I am sharing two projects featuring Frameworthy-Teacher and Framed Script Happy, which pairs with the Framed Roses Cutting Plate.

I love how this release is inspiring us to create projects that celebrate some of the most important figures in our lives: teachers, mentors, and moms. I created this project with my youngest son's teacher in mind. Clayton's teacher has done a wonderful job helping him adjust to third grade (he skipped a grade) and a new school this academic year. The beginning of the school year was a little rocky, but Clayton is proving to be a fine student and good friend to his classmates. And a part of Clayton's journey is due to his teacher's guiding hand. This Frameworthy-Teacher project holds a little hidden surprise for Clayton's teacher. I hope she likes it!

To create this project, I colored the sentiment with Copic markers and colored pencils. I then die cut a heart into the 5x7 panel and colored it red. This is much easier to do as a die cut piece instead of tracing a heart and then coloring. Once colored, I attached a flat magnet strip to the back, and covered the magnet with a  heart die cut from Sugar Cube cardstock. I then adhered a photograph of Clayton and his teacher to the back of the 5x7 panel, and using tape adhered another flat magnet strip to the back of the photograph. A 5x7 piece of Sugar Cube cardstock is adhered to the back of the panel to create a clean, finished look to the panel.

My second project features the Framed Script Happy paired with the Framed Roses Cutting Plate.

The cutting plate was released earlier in the year and uses several different inset framed script sentiments. I wanted to show that the Framed Roses Cutting Plate is a versatile addition to your cutting plates. In this case, I used the cutting plate die cuts to give the allusion of a faux gate-fold card by diecutting two Framed Roses die cuts from Sugar Cube cardstock and then adhering the pieces to a Sea Salt panel. The Framed Script Happy is die cut from Earl Grey cardstock with a Sugar Cube card panel that has been ink embossed using the Blooming Beautiful stencil. A pink grosgrain ribbon and floral bouquets, using the Bloomers 9 dies, complete this elegant Monther's Day card.

Thank you for spending time with me. I hope I have inspired you to create a few projects for the individuals who inspire you to reach for your dreams.
