Taylored Expressions: Collaboration with Laurie Willison Masking Stencils

Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends,

I hope you are ready to run to your craft room and get crafty. Today, Taylored Expressions is releasing masking stencils in collaboration with Laurie Willison. These masking stencils will take your crafting to the next level. The stencils come in a pack of two, both a smaller and larger inset shape. The inset shapes are perfect for reverse stenciling techniques.

To create this card. I used the larger stencil circle to mask the center of the Mandala Background 1 and then inked the stamp (remember to wipe off the circular inset before stamping). Once stamped, remove the inset mask, and apply the A2 mask to the Sugar Cube cardstock panel to ink blend the circle. I used the colors Mulled Wine and Strawberry ink dyes to color the inset with TE Blender Brushes. Paired with Pine Clippings, Little Bits-Santa Hat and Handlettered Holidays 2 sentiment completes this card.

Added Features of Masking Stencils:
  • No more masking with washi tape.
  • There are two lines etched into each stencil for perfect alignment of an A2 card base or larger inside of an A2 size.
  • The stencil mask also includes the solid shape that falls out from the middle allowing you to reverse mask or add two tones of ink to a project.
Thank you for stopping by. For more creative inspiration, visit the Taylored Expressions Blog (HERE).

Happy Crafting,
