We made it! Today is Taylored Expressions Release day! I hope you are enjoying visiting the Taylored Expressions Design Team's blogs and loving all the crafty inspiration to get you in the creative mood for Valentine's Day. I am so excited to have this opportunity to be a guest designer for STAMPlorations' September Challenge (Theme and Sketch No. 38). If you know me, you know I love a good challenge, and this is definitely one! Stamping enthusiasts have an opportunity to use the sketch, theme or both! The theme for September is Music and Stamps. Well, I know I can, especially birthday stamps and dies to help me create masculine birthday cards.

Well, there is no better way to get the creative juices flowing then to hit the challenge boards. This week's Just A Scrappin' Challenge is to create a card, layout or project using embossing and/or stencils. This theme paired perfectly with Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge: Home Grown for what I had in mind.

Today's card is inspired by Jen Shults' Deconstructed Sketch No. 204. I just had to play along this week as we say good-bye to the Deconstructed Sketch. I have enjoyed receiving Jen's weekly sketch inspiration in my email inbox for the past year and a half. Jen's sketches are a wonderful way to get excited about trying a new card design and playing with paper. I want to thank Jen for all she has done. It is because of Jen, I was introduced to Taylored Expressions and many other wonderful designers. Thank you for inspiring me, Jen, and helping me to become a better card designer. I will miss your weekly sketches. Best of luck on your new crafting journey =)

Happy Birthday...I Am Seeing Spots (SSS Wednesday Challenge and 30 Day Color Challenge)

I hope you are having fun in your craft rooms. I have been faithfully following Kathy Rascoosin, at The Daily Marker, for the 30 Day Color Challenge. The Color Challenge has definitely encouraged me to play with my Copics and new set of Gansai Tambi watercolors. I am enjoying coloring, most of the time. Other times, I feel a little stressed as I am broadening my horizons.
On days eight and 18, Kathy did several cards featuring geometric designs and it inspired me to play with a new stamp that I wanted, but shelved =( So sad. Here is my finished card.
