Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 3: Show Me The Surprise!

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends,

How are you doing? Are you excited about release day tomorrow? Today, I am sharing two cards featuring the Sweet & Spooky stamp set and Gate Fold Revel 2.

My youngest son is not a fan of Halloween. He finds it scary. So this card, featuring the Sweet and Spooky stamp set is playful and sure to put a smile on his face. Pairing the stamp set with the All Tucked In Window and turning it into a shaker element helps keep the design fun and lighthearted. To create this card, I started by diecutting the inverted scalloped circle into a 5 x 5 piece of Sugar Cube cardstock. I then stamped each image around the circular shape. Once stamped, I used Copic markers and colored pencils to color each image. Each image was masked using stamp/masking paper and then the Spiderweb stencil was applied and inked using Oreo dye ink. A sentiment from the All Tucked In-Halloween, and glitter spiders diecut from the Sitting Pretty Halloween Accessories die set completes this card.

Card project number two is a featured addition to the Gate Fold Revel die. Welcome the Gate Fold Revel 2! The new die has a larger apecture, which allows for creating a scene or more space for larger sentiments. Either way, the new die opens up a new level of creativity for crafters.

To create this card, I heat embossed a Sea Sea Salt Panel using gold embossing powder and then inked the panel using Blue Corn, Blue Raspberry and Pineapple inks. The rustic flowers were diecut from cardstock using a similar cool color palette. The flowers were diecut and then mounted on a circular Sea Salt diecut to act as the focal point for the front panel and as a closure. The inside of the card reflects the same color palette and floral motiff. A 'Thinking of You' sentiment completes this card.
