It is time to kick off the month of June with a LOT of crafty inspiration from the TE Creative Team. Today, I am sharing three projects all about one of our favorite topics--CRAFTING! I really enjoyed inking, stamping and coloring using stamps and dies with a craft theme. So much fun! My projects feature the new Gate Fold Reveal, Better Half Cutting Plate, Hey Crafty Friend, Cutting Edge-Crafty, Do Something Creative, and {Frame-Worthy}Crafty. Whew, that was a lot! Okay, let's play!
Okay, do you see what I mean? So much craft happiness in the June release!
To create this card, I started by creating a gatefold card base from Sugar Cube cardstock. I then inked, stamped and colored (using Copic markers and Polychromos pencils) the Create In Color background stamp, which was stamped onto two A2 Sugar Cube panels. This is the part that did take some time. Once I had my two colored panels, I took the bottom panel and cut it in half and adhered it to the card base. Believe me, I almost cried. Next, I die cut the second colored panel using the Better Half Cutting Plate (horizontal plates). I took a deep breath and a checked my positioning of the plates to make sure the colored background would line up with the first panel. Once the panel was die cut, I adhered it on top of the first panel. To create the closure for the card, I used a circle die cut which was stamped using the Clearly Crafty-Craftiness is Happiness stamp set to create a mini background for my crafty grumpling.
I attached the grumpling to the card base using a transparent velcro circle.
The inside of the reveal card also uses the Clearly Crafty-Craftiness is Happiness to decorate the inside panel. A cute sentiment completes this fun, interactive card.
Card Project number two features Cutting Edge-Crafty with Do Something Creative.
I love how these two stamps and dies pair together beautifully. To create this card, I cut an A2 Sugar Cube panel and created a background using the sentiments from the Do Something Creative stamp set. I then stamped, colored and die cut the panel from the Cutting Edge-Crafty set. I adhered the first panel to an A2 top-folding card base. Then using foam adhesive, adhered the second cutting edge panel. A few crafty accoutrements and a sentiment complete this card.
Lastly, project number three features the new {Frame-Worthy} Crafty 5x7 panels. I have enjoyed creating with these smaller panels. They are perfect for home decor purposes or as a gifts to love ones and friends. I also enjoy that the panels allow for a bit of creative play. I love being able to manipulate and add to these panels to fit my own creative style. These set is perfect for my craftroom.
To create this 5x7 panel, I started by coloring the image with Copic markers and Polychomos pencils. I then added a few crafty items from my Little Bits collection--scissors and needle with thread. To make the jars pop, I added glossy accents to the ink paint and glitter touches to the blue jar. Now my project is complete and ready to adorn my craftroom's walls.
