TE Release Revisted: A Floral Hello

Happy Thursday Crafty Friends,

Today, I am popping in to share a card featuring Taylored Expressions' Floral Frenzy.

This card was designed using watercolors and colored pencils, my new favorite medium combination. The floral images were stamped onto watercolor paper using Oreo ink. Once dry, I used Distress Oxide inks to create a watercolor palette and added clean water and Distress Oxide ink to each flower. The use of colored pencils adds the perfect amount of shading to each flower. The background was created by heat embossing the Hello sentiment onto Oreo cardstock using white embossing powder. A piece of vellum overlaid on the Oreo cardstock creates the perfect semi-translucent backdrop for the floral arrangement.

Thank you for stopping by, crafty friends. For more inspiration using products featured in today's card, visit Taylored Expressions (HERE). See you next week as the TE Creative Team prepares for Sneak Peek Week. Yipee!

Happy Crafting!

  1. This is a beautiful card. Thought it might be way too complicated until I read that the background was vellum over embossed card. Saving this technique to use another day.
