Happy Wednesday Taylored Expressions Fans and Crafty Friends,
Today, we are celebrating Taylored Expressions 10th Birthday with a Designer Reunion Blog Hop! You read correctly! Today, we are welcoming over 40 amazing designers, both past and present to today's celebration. This is a wonderful opportunity to stroll down memory lane and to be reintroduced to some of your favorite designers who have inspired you with their beautiful work. So grab your favorite beverage and hop along as we celebrate 10 years of sharing and spreading joy! (A full list of participating designers can be found at: www.tayloredexpressions.com/blog).
While my card for today might not be a birthday card, it is celebratory in nature. Happy New Year! This card features the new Caps Lock Happy die and coordinating Caps Lock Companion-Happy Holidays.
This stamp set and coordinating die is perfect for creating cards for New Year's Day, Easter, 4th of July and other holidays. To create this card, I heat embossed a Poppy Seed panel using TE's gold, silver and white embossing powder along with the Freedom & Fireworks stamp set. The HAPPY die cut was cut from Sugar Cube cardstock, but not removed from the panel. I added a low-tack adhesive to the back to keep the pieces in the panel, and then flipped it back over and used Post It tape to mask a portion of the word. I then inked the panel with VersaMark ink and sprinkled gold embossing powder over the work and heat set the powder. Once cooled, I peeled pack the Post It tape to reveal the gold-tipped finish on the word HAPPY. Lastly, I created the foiled party favors by cutting a 1" by 1 3/4" piece of silver foiled paper and folding into a cone shape. The foiled cone is filled with gold foiled streamers and bits from the Little Bits-Celebration Confetti. The mouthpiece is creates using two of my son's Lego piece. Psst...don't tell. A gold embossed sentiment completes this card.
A TE birthday party would not be complete without an opportunity to share a little joy. As part of the TE birthday celebration/and mission, TE is encouraging their followers to share joy by creating handmade cards for a local charity. The Share Joy campaign focuses on providing birthday cards to individuals in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the US. To make a deep impact, TE is inviting fellow card members everywhere to join the campaign. Will you join us? Find our more information by visiting the TE Share Joy page here: www.tayloredexpressions.com/share-joy-birthday-2018.
Thank you for joining us today as TE celebrates 10 years of sharing joy. The September release went live yesterday! To purchase newly released products, visit the TE store here: https://www.tayloredexpressions.com/new.html. As with every TE celebration, there is a special gift with purchase (while supplies last).
Happy Crafting,
Keia
