One more day until Release Day!!! Are you excited to play in your craft room and create this weekend? I hope the Creative Team has inspired you to start thinking about your Easter cards. Today's cards feature sentiments I never have enough of in my card stash...friendship and birthday. My card projects use stamps and dies from the Scandinavian Spring Background paired with Folk Art-Spring and Look Who's Talking coordinating stamp/die combination.
What can I write about this card, it just makes me smile. I love the bright colors and playfulness of the Scandinavian Background with the Folk Art Spring coordination dies. This card is a simple mix of stamping and die cutting. What makes the card pop, is the level of layering. Remember when creating a scene, work from the back to the front using foam adhesive to add dimension between layers. A cute sentiment and orange twine (my favorite color) complete this card.
My second card features the very funny Look Who's Talking stamp and coordinating die.
I find this card hilarious. The Look Who's Talking stamp and die partially die cut the stamped images, which allows stampers to come up with interesting ways to use this set. To create this card, I first stamped the Happy Birthday greeting onto a Sugar Cube card panel (being mindful to leave room for the rat). I then masked the area using masking paper and stamped the rat from the Look Who's Talk stamp set. I colored the images using Copic markers and colored pencils. Once colored, I die cut the rat image and used foam adhesive to pop him off the front A2 card panel. A few birthday balloons and party hat complete this card.
