Oh Dear Friends,
It is Wednesday! One more day until release day! How are you? Have you been inspired to make a few handmade gifts this holiday season? Today, I am sharing with you the new Bubble Greetings stamp set and the Envelope Liner die.
I know that lettering/typography is all the rage right now, so this stamp set is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. To create this card, I started by creating a floral background using the Simply Stamped-Roses and coordinating dies. Once I had my background in place, I inked around the floral composition using Salt Water Taffy (my favorite ink color) to mute the starkness of the white background. I heat embossed the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment using black embossing powder. A few vellum butterflies adds dimension to the one-layer card.
My second project is a trio of stamped envelopes paired with the new Envelope Liner die.
After all the time you spent designing and making your card, does the card not deserve a fitting envelope for mailing? The new Envelope Liner die beautifies the inside of the envelope, while the mailing stamps, an expanding collection, adds a touch of whimsy to the outside. To create my trio of envelopes, I used the new Playful Patterns-Bold and Savory pattern papers for the liners and the Merry Mail 1 stamps for my images. I colored the stamped images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens to minimize bleed through while coloring.
Thank you for stopping by today. However, the fun is not over yet. Visit the Taylored Expressions Blog (HERE), for product information and a complete listing of participating designers. And as with every new release, answer Taylor's Question of the Day (HERE) for a chance to win a fabulous prize from the November release. Happy hopping!
Happy Crafting,
Keia
