Happy May Taylored Expressions Fans!!

What an awesome way to start the month with a little creativity. Today, kicks off Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek week. To get the party started, I am sharing the new Dizzy Dots Background and Downtown Underlay perfect stamps and dies for the heroes in your life.

Okay, I have two superhero loving boys, and when I saw this background stamp I thought, "Yipee! Comic books. Pow! Wow! Boom!" I mean seriously, I spend my days dodging Nerf darts, and having play take-down matches!  I was born ready for this creative challenge. To create this card, I used my MISTI to stamp the Dizzy Dots background using Lemon Meringue ink. The rays behind my female superhero, was created by die-cutting acetate using the Ray of Sunshine Cutting Plate and then sponging Candy Corn ink on every other ray. After die-cutting and coloring the various pieces with Copic markers, it was time to stamp the sentiment and assemble the card. A little Nuvo Drops in Dandelion Yellow complete this card. Boom! I am done!

The second card features the Downtown Underlay die.

This new die is a wonderful addition to the Downtown Border die, one of my favorite dies to use when building a scene. The Downtown Underlay makes creating cityscape lighting a snap. To create this card, I die-cut the cityscape three times using Oreo and Earl Grey cardstock. I used Lemon Meringue cardstock for the city's lighting. The cloud background was created using the Build a Scene-Rolling Clouds dies as templates and inking the cardboard die cuts with Salt Water Taffy ink. Next, it was time to get the birthday party started with colorful balloons cut from Red Pepper, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Salt Water Taffy, Peapod and Jelly Donut cardstock. A sweet little firetruck and sentiment complete this alarmingly fun card.

Thank you for stopping by. However, the fun is not over yet. Visit the Taylored Epressions Blog for more creative inspiration. And as with every TE Release, answer Taylor's Question of the Day for an opportunity to win crafty goodness from May's release.
