Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 2: Floating on Cloud Nine and Magical Day

Hello Taylored Expressions Fans,

Welcome to day two of release week. Today, I am showcasing the Cloud Nine Background stamp and Dreamer stamp and die combination.

Okay, you know what makes a great birthday card? Rockets shooting through the air! You know what makes an AWESOME birthday card? Dinosaurs sitting on a rocket shooting through the air! Ok, I am a mom of two fabulous boys, so rockets and dinosaurs rule my world. To create this card, I sectioned off a wide strip of Sugar Cube cardstock using painter's tape and sponged on Salt Water Taffy, Sprinkles, and Blue Corn dye ink onto the panel. Next, I applied Versamark ink onto the Cloud Nine Background and then stamped the inked background. I applied Wow White Puff embossing powder and heat set the image. I used the Magical Day stamp and die combination to create the cute little dinosaur, which I colored with Copic markers. The rocket was made using the Sky High Rocket set and TE Metallic Neutrals. The balloons are from the Little Bits - Balloons and Little Bits - Cake & Stand and are die cut from Peapod, Candy Corn and Cookie Monster cardstock. The birthday sentiment was stamped onto vellum and a bit of stickles added sparkle to the rocket's flame.

My second card is a sweet little card, but had me completely out of my element. LOL. I am more comfortable with rocks, rockets, snails and well you get the idea. However, this card is ALL about being a little princess.

To create this card, I started with a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Sugar Cube cardstock and used the Build A Scene - Rolling Clouds dies, as a stencil, and sponged Salt Water Taffy onto the cardstock panel to create the cloud background. A circle die from the Stitched Circle Stacklets was used to die cut a circle from the panel creating an opening for the shaker feature. I took another piece of Sugar Cube cardstock and applied Lavender Glaze, Pink Champagne and Cookie Monster to create a backdrop for the princess' castle. Acetate was added to the original piece and foam tape to the sponged cardstock to create a shaker window. I filled the window with sequins from TE's Snow Flurries and Hello Happiness. I colored the unicorns with Copic markers and die cut each image. Another set of clouds were die cut using the Build A Scene - Rolling Clouds and Stitched Cloud Duo. The sentiment was heat embossed onto the stitched cloud using Versamark and Ranger black superfine embossing powder. A few more sequins were applied once the card was assembled for added sparkle.
