Happy Friday!! Do you have any crafty plans for this weekend? I will be living on a basketball court as my youngest is participating in his first basketball tournament. He is super excited and we are excited for him. So I started my crafty weekend a little early. Today, I am showcasing the new Slimline Spider Web stamp set on an A2 card front.
Okay, this card was a little bit of trial and error. I kind of had a design idea in mind, but my execution was less than smooth. To start, while I liked the idea of the tone-on-tone with the black glitter paper and black embossing powder, I would recommend attaching the glitter paper to a heavy cardstock base and then doing your heat embossing. The paper warped when heat was applied and I spent a bit of time smoothing out the paper. Next, I inked an A2 panel using a contemporary Halloween color palette and then stamped the spider web image. I like the contrast between the scripty lettering and the colorfully stamped panel. To complete this card, I pulled a few fall and Halloween dies from my stash to create a scene. Whew! All done!

Welcome to Reverse Confetti's Creative Blog Hog! Today, I am sharing a card featuring the Boo Day stamp/die paired with the Circle with Burst Tag.
I enjoy card making. There is something fanciful about mixing mediums, cardstock, stamps, and dies to create a little paper magic. Over the course of the past two months, I have had the joy of guest designing for Reverse Confetti and really having an opportunity to play with their September release. Today's card features the Circle with Burst Tag as a card element, which highlights the versatility of crafting supplies. I started by diecutting a piece of white cardstock using the tag die and inking the edges with teal ink. The center burst was diecut using black glitter cardstock and adhere to the tag with foam adhesive. The Boo Day stamp, with coordinating die, features adorable Halloween critters with scripty sentiments. I stamped, diecut, and Copic-colored the cat with bat wings and added a moon and clouds to complete my scene. The Layered Boo was stamped several times with the spider image and then diecut. A sentiment and colorful bow complete this card.

Today, I am sharing a card featuring a few crafty goodies from Scrapbook.com for my BOOtacular Halloween card.
To create this card, I started by masking off a rectangular area and inking it in shades of purple, orange, and grey. I then used the new Jack O' Lantern stencil for my background pattern. The new Downtown Alphabet is a retro classic and adds a nice flair to the card. The Downtown Alphabet breaks into pieces, so I backed it using the Bold Basic Alphabet set. A cute ghost, sentiment, and glitter bats completes this card.

Happy Tuesday, Confetti Friends!
One more day until Reverse Confetti's release day! I hope you have been enjoying all the inspiration over the past few days. I know I have. Today, I am sharing two projects featuring the Patterned Panels and Sparkle and Shine Sentiments.
Okay, you know I love a good pattern and the Patterned Panels stamp set is perfect for making unique designs for all occasions. I created my background by masking off portions of my cardstock panel and inking the remaining space with a range of purple hues. Once the panel was dry, I used the Patterened Panel stamp to add a geometric pattern. I then used the cute ghosts from the Boo Day stamp and die set to create a scene. A simple sentiment and a few starry elements completes this card.
My second card is a modern twist on a Christmas tree using the Tree Confetti Cut paired with the Sparkle and Shine Sentiment stamp set. I first die cut the tree image from an A2 card base and used the negative space as my focal point. I adhered leftover stripes of cardstock onto another A2 card panel. I heat embossed a sentiment onto vellum and taped this to the Christmas tree panel. I added acetate to the back of the panel to create a shaker pocket then adhered this to the A2 panel with the colorful paper stripes. The Layered Peace diecut completes this simple and elegant card.

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks Day 1: That's Right, If the Broom Fits, Ride It!
Happy Monday! It is so AWESOME to be in the company of my crafty friends and family again! We moved over the summer and now our family is finally settling into a routine and our new home. Whew! It is great to have a chance to craft again. Seriously, I was going through crafting withdrawal!
