Hello, Friends!
I am popping in to share a card featuring Pinkfresh Studio's Floral Bunch. This is an awesome stamp, stencil, and die collection. The Floral Bunch stamp is a good size and will take up the entire front on an A2 card base. A card is done in a snap!
I appreciate pairing florals with geometric shapes. To create this card, I focused on coloring the floral bouquet with Copic markers and colored pencils. At the last moment, I added some shading along the edges of the flowers. I then stamped the image using Detail Black ink onto an A2 card front. The Copic-colored panel was diecut using the Simply Hexagons Essentials dies and then layered on top of the black stamped image. I added a few pieces of greenery using the new Leafy Branch die and a simple heat embossed sentiment completes this card.
Thank you for stopping by and spending a portion of your day with me. As with each release, Pinkfresh Studio loves sharing and spreading kindness. Hello, Crafty Friends!
Happy National Scrapbooking Week! I am so excited to participate in Scrapbook.com 's celebration of this awesome week/day! Today, I am sharing a 12x12 layout I created using Pinkfresh Studio's Some Days collection featuring a 6x6 paper pad, journaling bits, and ephemera.
To create this layout, I started by choosing some of my favorite geometric prints from the 6x6 paper pad and paired this with some of the ephemera bits for a splash of color. I like using black and white photos with my layouts because they don't clash with the more colorful paper collections. I used the now-retired Dot Art stamp set from Altenew to add visual interest to the white background along with black, inky splatters. The embellishments I used are from my stash and add a bit of coordinating color to the layout. I love how this layout turned out.
I hope you have a chance to play along this week and celebrate National Scrapbooking Day with Scrapbook.com and the rest of the Creative Team.
Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Happy Thursday, Crafty Friends!
Today is Pinkfresh Studio's April Release! Pinkfresh Studio is back with more AMAZING stamps, dies, stencils, and hot foil stamps. Personally, I am in love with the hot foil sentiment stamps (insert emoji face with hearts for eyes). This release is definitely swoon-worthy.
For this release, I had a chance to create with the Reason to Smile Wreath. This is a lovely stamp, die, and stencil collection. The wreath image will take up the entire front of an A2-sized card, which means the image the perfect size to create a gatefold card! Yep! To create my card design, I started by stamping, diecutting, and stenciling the wreath image onto white cardstock. Once complete, I used colored pencils to add shading to the leaves and the flowers from the Be Strong stamp collection.
To create the gatefold, I cut a 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 panel and inked it using Clementine and Lemon Whip dye ink. I then scored my completed wreaths and adhered them to the back of the panel. I like using velcro circles as a closure. You can find a similar product in the sewing aisles of your local craft store. A simple sentiment along with a wooden heart completes the gatefold panel.
I like getting the most from my stamps, so I stamped and diecut two additional wreaths and used these to add visual interest and depth to the white A2 card base. I love when I can use my stamps and dies in new ways. I hope this card inspires you to try something new with your stamps and dies.

I hope your week is off to a great start! I had a chance to play around in my craftroom last week in preparation for National Scrapbook Day and it was glorious. It had been some time since I incorporated mixed media techniques into my work, and I am a bit rusty. I love all the layers, but it takes a moment for things to dry between layers. However, playing and revisiting a technique or two was just what I needed to refresh myself creatively.
I love how this 5x7 piece turned out. This card is definitely a labor of love. A friend saw the finished piece and has already claimed it. I am glad she will be encouraged by the Biblical text. To start this project, I made sure to use mixed media paper. If you do not use the right paper, the addition of wet mediums will warp your project, and you will not achieve the desired end results. I first added the violet color palette to the top right corner of the page. Starting first with a light color and gradually adding more. I then flicked water onto the paper to give the piece an aged look. Using a paper towel I removed any excess. I let this dry before applying my next layers. (You can use a heat tool if you would like to speed up the drying time.) Next, I randomly added the script stamping to the panel and then using the Dashed stencil to add another layer of visual interest.
I let all of this dry before using texture paste and The Crafters Workshop Angel Wings stencil. This keeps the embossing paste from soaking up the color of the bottom layer. I then added white inky splatters and heat embossed the sentiment. Now it was time to focus on the floral arrangement. I love the Keep Going coordinating stamp/die from Pinkfresh Studio. I used my Copic markers and colored pencils to color this lovely stamp set. As you know, we scrappers have a lot of little treasures hiding in our craftrooms. I scavaged for some lovely paper flowers I had kept for years and added this as another layer of texture and depth to the bouquet. A few curvy vines intertwined in the bouquet adds a nice touch.
The last piece is the lovely alcohol-inked butterfly with a vellum overlay. To be honest, this alcohol panel has been in my craftroom for a few months. I warned you that I keep things for a bit of time. I have used a piece of the alcohol panel here and there, but this was the perfect project for this finishing touch. I just love how this mixed media card turned out and I am so happy that it will bless a fellow crafter.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a chance to step into your creative space and make something beautiful.

Happy Monday, Crafty Friends.
I had a chance to step into my craft room this weekend and play with Pinkfresh Studio's Folk Garden layering stencils, stamp, and coordinating dies paired with Thank You So Much hot foil stamp.
I am still learning how to use my hot foil system, but I am enjoying it. The Couture Creation Hot Foil System, like other systems, is a very versatile piece of crafting equipment. The Hot Foil System not only foils, but you can use it to do letterpress techniques. I am looking forward to exploring the other uses of my machine. To create this card, I used the layering stencils to color the Folk Garden image and used colored pencils to add depth to the flower petals. I then diecut the flowers and layered them on a white panel. The Thank You So Much was foiled and then I cut the diecut to only use the "Thank You" portion. A few blue jewels completes the card.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a chance to step into your craft room and create something beautiful.
