Taylored Expressions August Release Sneak Peek: Day 1...I Miss You

Happy Monday Taylored Expressions Friends,

Today, kicks off Sneak Peek Week! This release has a little something for everyone on your card making list: fall, Halloween, rustic chic and more. My project theme for Monday...I Miss You.

My first card features Fresh Picked Florals paired with Simple Strips-Friendship (one of two new stamp additions to the Simple Stripes collection). To create this card, I cut a 4 x 5.25 piece of cardstock and inked the panel using the Wavy Stripes stencil, Spearmint and Mint Julep inks. I then added a few watercolor splatters in complementing colors of Spearmint and Raspberry Sorbet. The floral bouquet use a warm, fall color palette featuring Mulled Wine, Raspberry Sorbet, Pink Champagne, Cupcake, Peaches 'n Cream, Potato Chip, Pineapple, and Dijon. Gold twine and a sentiment, 'I Miss Your Face', stamped on Toffee cardstock completes this card.

Card project number 2 features the Handlettered Alpha stamp set. Brush Lettering is still very much on trend, and this stamp set provides you with a quick and easy alternative to achieving the look without all the hours of practice. Sign me up! Right?

To create this card, I inked a Sugar Cube card panel using Blue Raspberry, Salt Water Taffy, Lime Zest, Sweet Potato Pie and Candy Corn dye inks. Then using the Shiplap Background stamp and Sugar Cube pigment ink to finish creating the panel. The circular focal point uses the Handlettered Alpha stamp set, in coordinating colors, to repetitively stamp the words 'Happy Mail'. A vellum envelope filled with the letter U and a banner sentiment completes this card.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you are feeling inspired to step into your craft room and create something beautiful. And as with every release, answer Taylor's Question of the Day for a chance to win a little bit of craft happiness.

Happy Crafting,

Keia
