Deconstructed Sketch No. 104

What I enjoy about the sketch challenges from the Deconstructed Sketch's blog, is how a sketch becomes the foundation for my creativity. I enjoy seeing the original design and then finding ways to creatively make it my own.

Using the layering provided in sketch no. 104, I created this birthday card for my mother-in-law. I love the happy feeling the color yellow invokes and thought to myself another birthday is definitely a reason for celebration. The multiple banners create depth, and the wooden butterfly and pearls add just the right finishing touches.

I hope you stop by Jen's blog to see the other great designs.

Enjoy,

K
