Taylored Expressions Day 3 Sneak Peek Week: Congratulations, Grad!

Happy Wednesday Taylored Expression Fans,

One more day until release day! Yippee. Today, I am sharing with you a card and matchbox combination featuring Mathcy Matchy Grad, along with the Block Party - Grad.

The Matchy Matchy Grad is a great addition to the growing matchbox collection. To create this card and matchbox set, I created a 4 x 4 top-folding card using Blue Corn cardstock. I die cut a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock using the Stitched Square Stacklets. The Sugar Cube panel was placed in the MISTI and the Brushed Star Background stamp was inked with Oreo ink and stamped. Using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, a few stars were colored using the yellow and bright yellow watercolor markers. Next, the adorable owl, from the Matchy Matchy-Grad (die and stamp combination), was stamped onto Copic-friendly paper and colored. The matchbox was also die cut using Blue Corn cardstock. A shaker element was created on the front of the box and Little Bits - Grad Confetti along with Snow Flurries sequins act as shaker material. The inside of the box has a stamped sentiment and a Little Bits - Globe to finish the project. Perfectly sized for a little monetary gift for the graduate in your life.

Card number two uses the Block Party- Grad to create a word shaker element.

The Block Party collection can create a shaker element, but you have to place a border around the perimeter of the panel to hide the dimensional adhesive. In this case, I used the elegant Frame In Frame Cutting Plate for that purpose. Once, my shaker element was completed, I stamped and die cut the Grad Grumpling for placement on the front of the card, as well as the Little Bits - Globe. I lightly inked the Sugar Cube cardstock panel with Salt Water Taffy ink to soften the background behind the grumpling. To complete this card, I stamped a sentiment and adhered the panel onto an A2 horizontally-folded Oreo carstock base.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope these projects have inspired you to make a special card and/or matchbox holder for the special future graduate in your life.
