I hope the Taylored Expressions' Creative Team has sparked your imagination with their amazing projects these last few days. One more day until Release Day! Wahoo! Today, I am sharing with you the new Home Sweet Home die and complementary Home Sweet Home Accessories, along with the Matchbox die, Matchy Matchy and Matchy Backgrounds.
This house is so cute and the design possibilities are only limited by your imagination. As you will see today, the die was used to create a cute log cabin (Jen Shultz), a decorative tea light holder (Kim Singdahlsen) or a beautiful brick home (Kerri Michaud), and that is just to name a few! To create the floral cottage, I used Carta Bella's It's A Girl pattern paper and paired it with TE's Buttercream Frosting, Salt Water Taffy, Peapod, Lavender Glaze, Strawberry Milkshake, and Toffee cardstock. The roof uses the new Subway Tiles embossing folder to add the look of roofing tiles. I loved the idea of creeping vines along the cottage façade, and used the Arbor Accessories dies to achieve that look. Lastly, the yard was created by using chipboard and covering it with Peapod cardstock. A Buttercream Frosting picket fence finishes this project.
The second project uses the new Matchbox die along with Matchy Matchy and Matchy Backgrounds.
Ok, I don't know about you, but every time I see this little guy it reminds me of the iconic scene from Say Anything starring John Cusack holding up a boombox. I decided to create a shaker matchbox. The matchbox die is easy to use, and the Matchy Matchy Backgrounds are perfectly sized. I used the front panel die to create the shaker element. Once I had completed building my shaker element, I attached the entire piece to the top of the matchbox. I then stamped and Copic colored this cute little squirrel.
