Happy Thursday Fellow Crafters and Scrappers,
Wahoo! I am back in my craft room. The family and I had a fabulous two week RV trip...three cities in 14 days. We had a blast, but time on the road means I am a little creatively rusty.
Well, there is no better way to get the creative juices flowing then to hit the challenge boards. This week's Just A Scrappin' Challenge is to create a card, layout or project using embossing and/or stencils. This theme paired perfectly with Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge: Home Grown for what I had in mind.
Prior to leaving, I purchased Taylored Expressions Simply Stamped Daises with coordinating dies. Perfect for a summer bouquet. I stamped my daises in Distress Inks Antique Linen and Wild Honey. I then created the background by using a floral stencil from Balzar Designs and Whipped Spackle to add dimension and depth. I sponged on Shabby Shutters from corner-to-corner to add a little color to the backdrop. To complete the card, I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment and added a few sequins for sparkle.
Thank you for stopping by. Have an awesome weekend =)
Smiles,
Keia
