Welcome Spring

Hello fellow scrappers and crafters,

Welcome to this week's Just A Scrappin' challenge. The challenge for this week, is to create a circular card using any color and theme. This challenge provided a great opportunity for me to break out of my normal A2 rut. I become so complacent about using the standard card size, that I very rarely try a shaped card design. However, when I do I always think, "Wow, I really should do this more often!"

I created this card with spring in mind, although it is gloomy here in the mid-west. I used Cricut's Wild Card cartridge to create the card base and Nate's ABCs to create my little spring scene. I then paper-pieced the scene to add color and dimension. I completed the card with a little glitter, twine and a die cut button.

Don't forget to stop by the Just A Scrappin' blog and be inspired by the rest of the design team.

Thank you for stopping by.

Smiles,

K

  4. Your card is so cute. I love that you used two different colors of twine in the bow behind the button. I own both of the cartridges that you used so maybe there will be some round cards in my future also. I get pretty set on the A2 size cards myself.
