Good morning fellow crafters,
This week's challenge is Christmas in July using any cartridge and the colors, black, pink and white. To begin with this is a difficult challenge for me: 1) I am not ready for Christmas, not even close to thinking about it. And secondly, I am not a pink girl. I more into black. Okay, black is my go-to color. However, I appreciate this week's challenge because it pushed me as a crafter to step outside of my crafting comfort zone. I thought to myself, "Keia, if you are already on a limb, you might as well jump." So I did a project rather than my usual card layout.
My thought process was that the colors black, pink and white lent itself to a vintage Christmas project. Mix in pearls and ribbon and voila! I hope you enjoy my Christmas door hanger. Please do not forget to check out my fellow DT members' projects at Just A Scrappin'.
Happy Crafting,
K

Good morning fellow blogger and crafters!
Wahoo, happy summer! We are celebrating the "Fun of Summer" with out design team members at Just A Scrappin'. The DT did a splendid job of helping you to beat the heat with summer crafting projects, which reflect what each of us like about summer.
If you are just stopping by, please start at the beginning at Just A Scrappin' (we wouldn't want you to miss out on any of the fun). If you are following the blog hop, you should have just hopped over from Melitta's blog. If you have gotten lost along the way, there is a blog hop list at the bottom to get you back on track!
And to add to the excitement, we have blog candy not only at Just A Scrappin', but at several of the individual DT members' websites. To be eligible to win, become a follower (if you are not already one) and leave a comment on each of the members' blogs. You will be glad you did!
To express my summer glee, I created a summer hat. Yes, you will never find me without my trusty hat, at the beach, grocery store, or just running errands with the kids. I love my special, summer hat. Enjoy!
Recipe:
Paper: DCWV, K&Company, MME
Cartridge: Forever Young (welded 7"), Flower (3 1/2")
Tim Holtz Embossing Folder and Distress Ink
Ribbon: Michaels

And the blog candy!
Enjoy Basic Grey 6x6 Shine On pad and matching chipboard embellishments. To win, become a follower (if you are not already one) and leave a comment at the end of this post with contact information. I will announce a winner on Wednesday, July 18.

Wahoo! I am ahead of schedule thanks in part to the fact that I needed to make a Thank You card for a dear friend. I thought to myself, "I can kill two birds with one stone." I have the card I needed, and I challenged myself to use only scraps. Yes! I love it when a plan comes together.
I also love Pinterest. The design for this card was inspired by a card layout from a fellow crafter. I just had to give it a try (adding my own special touches, of course). Enjoy!
Recipe: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
Paper: Recollection, MME (Lime Twist...I really love that collection)
Cartridge: Flower Shoppe (2" and 1 3/4")
Brads: Stampin' Up, KI
Ink: Stampin' Up
Felt Butterfly: Michaels
Corner Rounder: EK Success

Good morning fellow scrappers,
I want to write a heartfelt THANK YOU to the men and women who keep us safe, whether abroad or here at home. Also, thank you to the service members' families who also serve by keeping the home front fires burning while our Airmen, Marines, Soldiers and Seamen do what they need to do. Remember, FREEDOM is never FREE.
July 4th makes most of us think of backyard BBQs, town parades, fireworks and more. At Just A Scrappin' we are celebrating July 4th with a crafting bang! My fellow DT members and I are showcasing the RED, WHITE and BLUE (and two other colors) though cards, scrapbook layouts and patriotic projects. Hop on over and see what we are doing. You will be glad you did =)
Enjoy!
