Pinkfresh Studio| Best of Everything Collection

Happy Monday, Crafty Friends!

Well, I did have a chance to play in my craftroom this weekend in between errands and playing with my boys. Seriously, my youngest had me on the trampoline in the backyard jumping and trying to throw/catch a mini basketball at the same time! Let me just write my coordination is not what it use to be.  However, we sure did have fun.

Okay, back to cardmaking. I know that I sometimes step into my craftroom and create on autopilot, which leads me to create with the same materials. It has been a while since I had made a vellum card, and I thought I would give it a go to change things up. I am glad I did. I did happen to have some 65lb vellum cardstock in my paper stash. I started by stamping, stenciling, and inking the Best of Everything image onto white cardstock and then cut this down to a 3 1/4 x  4 1/2 panel and adhered to a similar-sized card base. I cut an A2 card base from vellum and heat embossed my sentiment. I adhered my stenciled panel inside the A2 vellum card and added a panel to the back of the vellum card base to hide the adhesive. And my card is complete! Simple, but lovely.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a chance to make something beautiful or just slow down and enjoy the beauty of life. Have a lovely week! See you soon!

On My Desk| Scrapbook.com Cardstock Collection, Stencils and Craftroom Tools

Good morning, Crafty Friends!

Happy Friday!  This weekend I will be carving out a little time in my craftroom to continue playing with goodies from Scrapbook.com. This month I am creating with the new color palettes from the Playful, Jewels, Roses, and other colorful collections.  The new stencils provide a creative chance to try a few mixed media ideas. And I would love to see if I cannot do something interesting with the new acetate sheets from Scrapbook.com.

Check back throughout the month of September to see how I use this month's supplies. Thank you for stopping back. I hope you have a chance to step into your craftroom this weekend and make something beautiful!

Happy Crafting,

Keia

Pinkfresh Studio August Challenge| Stripes

Good morning, Crafty Friends!

The month of August is quickly coming to a close; however, there is still a little time left to participate in the August Challenge| Stripes. As always, creatives can use the theme, color palette, or both as a starting point. Either way, we hope you are inspired and join us for this month's challenge, which ends on August 31st.

Okay, let me be honest, it would have never occurred to me to pair together the colors from this month's color palette. However, I am blown away at how well these colors play off one another. And by using the colors in a geometric design the colors really pop. So this is a color palette that I will be keeping in my list of go-to's. To create this card, I started by stamping the Nested Diamonds, at an angle, onto white cardstock using the Regal Kiss, Candy Apple, Ballet Slipper, and Olive dye inks. I set the panel to the side to dry because the red ink has a tendency to smear if you try to immediately start manipulating it. Lesson learned on my part. I then created my floral cluster using the Blossoms and Berries collection and added a few bits of greenery using the Curvy Leaves die. Once the panel was completely dry, I used the Shaker Tags dies to create an inset focal point to nestle my bouquet into. And the stitching adds such a lovely touch to the stamped panel. A sentiment and a jewel-studded butterfly completes this card.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing a bit of your day with me. Don't forget to visit Pinkfresh Studio's Challenge post (HERE) to enter your creation inspired by this month's theme/color palette. And one (1) lucky creative will win a $50 gift card to Pinkfresh Studio's online store! The winner will be announced on Wednesday, September 4th.

Good Luck and Happy Crafting!

Pinkfresh Studio| Just A Hello

Good morning, Crafty Friends!

Time to get the day and week started with a little crafty love! Today, I sharing a card featuring the new Just A Hello stamp, die, and stencil collection.

I tried to keep this card simple to let the ombre ripple and floral arrangement take centerstage. To create the ombre background, I used the new wide, low-tack, mint tape from Scrapbook.com to mask off the area I wanted to ink. By ripping the mint tape, I achieved an organic edging which translated onto my inked card base. I like how that turned out once I had finished applying the Evergreen, Apricot, and Lemon Whip inks to the card base. The Just A Hello stamp, with its coordinating stencils, made creating the bouquet simple. A few sprigs of black leaves, a sentiment, and a few green jewels completes this card.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a chance to step into your craftroom and make something beautiful!

Hugs!
