One of my favorite magazines to read is In Her Studio. A magazine that showcases the lives of creatives. Where they create. What they create. Why they create. And often, the challenges of being a creative. I love reading it because I often struggle with balancing the intersection between work and home life. In Her Studio magazine gives me a glimpse into the lives of other creatives who too are striving to strike a balance in life while appreciating the beauty that surrounds them. Hence me using a bit of today to remember and reflect on yesterdays gone by.
Keeping up with my design schedule, along with my role as Super Wife/Mom (and yes, I do wear a cape), often leaves me with little time for other creative pursuits. However, the one thing I do try to carve time out for is collecting the precious memories of everyday life with my family.
So today, I am spending a little bit of time gathering my thoughts, printing photos and reminiscing about the moments of our lives that happened in November. From the Halloween doughnuts Clayton was happy to pick up as a treat for receiving straight As on his report cards; to capturing my handsome husband giving me a quick smile while in the midst of working on a home project. It is these simple moments that I love. And if it wasn't for my camera, these simple bits of life would be just another part of our day instead of a cherished window into the ordinary. So today, I am taking a moment to remember the past in the present and create something beautiful out of the familiar.
Happy Crafting,
Keia

Hello Crafty Friends,
This has been a difficult year for us as a community and nation. And while we turn our attention to giving thanks for another day, month and year, we want to remember individuals within our communities who are struggling at this time. Many of us have lent a helping hand doing what crafters do best, spreading joy through cardmaking, or digging in by volunteering.
While Thanksgiving Day sales and meals around the family table will provide a sense of normalcy, this year more and more companies are giving back to help build and strengthen our communities, including Diamond Press. When you make a purchase at Diamond Press on Teal Tuesday, a portion of the proceeds will go to No Kid Hungry (https://www.nokidhungry.org/). Let's celebrate and support each other this holiday season. Together we can continue to spread joy.
Customers will receive:
50% off orders over $35 or more
FREE gift with orders over $60, $80, or $100
Giveaways with Teal Tickets
What are you thankful for? 10 people will win a $20 Amazon gift card
A portion of the proceeds from Teal Tuesday will go to No Kid Hungry
Teal Tuesday starts Tuesday, November 24th at midnight. EST, and ends at midnight on Thursday, November 26th. And just like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, be on the lookout for Teal Tickets in your order. Lucky winners who find a Teal Ticket with their order will receive a $50 gift card to www.mydiamondpress.com.
Hello, Crafty Friends!
We made it to Friday! I know it has been a haul for some of us, so I am happy we have a chance to spend time together and get crafty! Today marks Pinkfresh Studio's November Essential Dies Release! You know those dies that add a little something extra special to your cards with what feels like minimal effort? Yes, those dies! And don't worry, I plan on throwing in a little stamping too, because well, I love getting inky.

This weekend was a busy time for this mama and her family. However, I was able to carve out a little me time and color this lovely flower from Mama Elephant. I paired this simple flower with a few of my other favorite crafty bits from my stash.
To create this card, I used Copic markers to add a base color to the flower diecut and then used colored pencils to add depth and shading. Sprigs of leaves were diecut from Taylored Expressions' Cilantro and Peapod using the Leafy Branch die from Pinkfresh Studio. Altenew's Crystal Frames, diecut from glitter gold cardstock, provides a delicate framework for the leaf clutters and flower. A sentiment, inky splatters, and wispy butterflies complete this card.
Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely, crafty day!
Happy Crafting,
Keia

Hello My Favorite Peeps!
I have been seeing the technique abstract inking all over Instagram, and I just had to give it a try. Now, the technique does work best with mini ink cubes, but low and behold I have very few of those in my crafty stash. I am thinking maybe Santa needs to put a set or two into my stocking this year. (I am looking at you, hubby).
Hello Crafty Friends,
It is important to take a moment and say 'thank you'. Or in the case of a paper crafter, create a card with a whole lot of love bursting forth through our love of paper. I created this card for my in-laws who generously purchased a bike for our eldest son, Cooper. My father-in-law was so intent on finding his grandson a bike, he would call me and say, "What about this one?" And I would log onto my computer and check out what he had in mind. We did this several times, back and forth until we found the right bike. He really is the sweetest.
Happy Tuesday, Crafty Friends!
I am stopping in with a quick post to wish my son a Happy 10th Birthday! I cannot believe how quickly time flies. My sweet baby boy is inching toward the preteen years. I am not sure this mamma is ready for the double digits. However, in reality, time isn't concerned about my feelings and gleefully marches onward. Sigh****
