JAS Challenge: Father's Day

Thursday, June 12, 2014

Happy Thursday!

Welcome to this week's Just A Scrappin' Challenge... celebrating DAD. With Father's Day on the horizon, it is time to step into your craft room and make something special for Dad. The focus of this card is a 3x4 journaling card. I kept my embellishments simple and had a little fun with ink blots and splatters.

Taylored Expressions: June Showcase

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Hello Taylored Expressions Fans,

This week, I have the amazing opportunity to be featured on the Taylor Expressions' Blog showcasing creative ways to use June's Key Ingredients Kit.

I created this month’s showcase around gift giving. I find late spring and summer bring with it a flurry of gift giving activity: Teacher Appreciation, graduations, birthdays, saying good-bye to a friend and/or Thank You gifts for the perfect host or hostess. I enjoy creating something special for each of these individuals who have touched my life. I hope this collection inspires you to step into your craft room and create gifts for those special individuals in your life.

I created all of my projects using June's Key Ingredients Kit, Bright Boutique (Stamp of the Month), and the coordinating dies; Hi, Hey, Hello. I love the bright colors and striking graphics found in Simple Stories' DIY Boutique 6x6 paper pad. And the stamps and dies were not too shabby either. Honestly, I cannot get enough of that cute little phone die. Here is a closer look at the projects...

Lip Balm Holder: Perfect as a stocking stuffer, party favor, or just to say, "I am thinking of you."

Notepad Holder: Great teacher appreciation gift, or a perfect gift for a friend or host/hostess

Vintage DIY Paper Wreath: Home Decor

I hope I have demonstrated the versatility of June's kit, with its complementing stamps and dies, is perfect for creating gifts for any occasion for that special someone in your life. You can find this wonderful kit and other crafting goodies at the Taylored Expressions' store. However, this great kit won't last forever. So check it out. You will be glad you did.

Thank you for stopping by.

Smiles,

Keia

Taylored Expressions: June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Happy Tuesday Taylored Expressions Fans,

Welcome to June's Stamp of the Month Hop. I hope you are enjoying some of the amazing creations thus far using this fabulous stamp and kit.  I was so excited to have an opportunity to create with Bright Boutique and its coordinating die set; Hi, Hey, Hello. This stamp set is fun and versatile and the coordinating dies...well the phone is just, too, cute to put down. I designed this card by creating a collage foundation and then using various elements I cut from one of the pattern papers from Simple Stories', DIY Boutique paper pad. For my finishing touches, I added a few embellishments here and there from the coordinating sticker collection. Once completed, I had a fun card that was both bold and eye-catching.

JAS Challenge: Garden Party

Hello Fellow Crafters and Scrappers,

It feels as if the time is flying by too quickly! Welcome to this week's Just A Scrappin' challenge. With summer in full swing and the kids enjoying the great outdoors and summer vacation, we thought this week's challenge is just perfect for the season. Let celebrate summer with a garden party! Create a card, layout or project featuring your favorite garden elements and any colors of your choice.

I love all the wonderful colors of summer blooms, so I created this card with that in mind.  A little layering of papers, inks and garden elements and I could not be happier.
