Happy Tuesday Crafty Friends!
I am stopping in for a quick post. The month of April is almost gone. Only a couple days left in April and with that only a two days left to check out April's Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions. I have enjoyed playing with this kit, stamp of the month and coordinating die set.
For this card, I wanted to showcase how versatile the Key Ingredients Kit is when creating any type of card. I created a sympathy card using Carta Bella's Sew Lovely 6x6 paper pack. To add a little interest to the white backdrop, I used a flourish stencil with white embossing powder. I then added a wonderful sentiment from the Care and Comfort stamp set.

Hello Fellow Scrappers and Crafters,
I can across a fantastic blog hop this weekend, which inspired me to create this shaker card (only the second I have created). Pretty Pink Posh is hosting their first blog hop (open to the public) and the theme is to create a shaker card using any colors. I hope you will hop over and check out some of the great shaker cards created by fellow crafters.

Happy Thursday!
I hope you are enjoying the Taylored Expressions and Faber-Castell Blog Hop thus far. As a team of designers we came together to share with you some AWESOME, crafty projects. Together, we have left no crafting stone unturned, creating cards, home decor projects and much more. For your creative enjoyment, I designed a home decor project.
I am enjoying the subway art trend and really wanted to give it a try. I loved creating this 12x12 home decor canvas to showcase the wonderful products from both Taylored Expressions and Faber-Castell. I used Taylored Expressions "Welcome Home" stamp set and "Build A House" die set along with several mixed media mediums from Faber-Castell. Using mixed media products was so much fun and easy to use. I applied gel medium to decoupage pages from a used book as the base for my project and then used gelatos to add a pop of color to the base. I had fun stamping cute little houses over the canvas once it was dry. Lastly, I applied the chalkboard paint in random swipes across the canvas and wrote out my quote. Creating the "Smith Family Home" was a great way to use all those random pieces of scrap paper I just couldn't part with and create a wonderful home accent piece in the process.
Good Morning Fellow Scrappers and Crafters,
Welcome to this week's Just A Scrappin' Challenge. The challenge is to create a tag using any theme or colors. I find that tags are a wonderful way to practice various techniques, without being overwhelmed by space.

Happy Monday Fellow Scrappers and Crafters,
I hope you all had a lovely Easter celebration with your family and friends. This week I am showcasing another card using April's Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit, stamps and dies. This is a great kit for the sewer and crafter in your life. And I am in love with the scissors.

Happy Thursday Fellow Crafters and Scrappers,
Welcome to another great weekly challenge from Just A Scrappin'. This week we are welcoming the Easter Bunny. The challenge is to create a card, layout, or project with an Easter theme using any colors. I created this card using one of Jen's fabulous sketches. I love all the layers, which allowed me to use some of my favorite scraps.

Good Morning Just A Scrappin' Fans,
Welcome to our weekly Thursday challenge. Are you ready for Spring? Well we are hoping to help you spring into crafting action this week. This week we challenge you to create a card, layout or project centered around spring using any colors.
I created this card using a distress ink water technique. I started by placing ink on a piece of wax paper and spritzing it with water. I then brushed my color wash over heat embossed flowers. Added a few matching watercolor splatters and sequins to complete my card.
Do not forget to stop by the Just A Scrappin' blog to view the other great project by my fellow design team members.
Smiles,
Keia

Good morning Taylored Expressions Fans,
Welcome to another fabulous Taylored Expressions' Stamp of the Month Blog Hop. If you have hopped over from Joan Ervin's blog, then you are in the right place. The April Stamp of the Month, Made with Love, is so much fun to work with. I fell in love with the cute buttons and spool of thread. For a little added interest, I used Taylored Expressions' Scribbles cutting plate to create a stencil, which I then applied Faber-Castell's whipped spackle to create a textured background. The cutting plate reminded me of loose thread. Just perfect for this card's theme. I finished off the card with a sentiment from the Made with Love stamp set and twine.

Wahoo! Happy Friday!
I made it through another busy week and now it is time to relax and play along with Unity's Friends With Flair. Teacher Appreciation week is quickly approaching (first week in May), and I purchased this cute stamp set to show my children's teachers how much my husband and I appreciate all they do.

Happy Thursday Fellow Crafters and Scrappers!
Welcome to another fabulous challenge from the Just A Scrappin' design team. This week we are challenging you to try a little vintage crafting using any colors or theme. If vintage is your normal craft mode, then jump right on in. However, if trying the vintage design style is out of the norm for you, then think of this as a wonderful opportunity to learn a new style or try out a new technique.
If you know me, vintage is not my style. I have to try really hard to make something work that comes so naturally for others. I usually gravitate toward clean lines and symmetrical designs. However, I used this challenge as a chance to try new techniques and products. I recently acquired several stencils and thought I would use them for this challenge. This is my card; however, I would like to write I almost threw the card base into the trash. Like I wrote before, vintage throws me off my game. I am hoping with a little more practice I can get the hang of it. I hope you step outside your comfort zone and try something new, too. We can do it together.

Happy April Fellow Crafters and Scrappers,
Welcome to this month's Taylored Expressions' April Key Ingredients Kit. You are in for a gem of a kit that is just sew lovely. The stamps, paper and embellishments are all about sewing. If you are thinking to yourself, "Well, sewing isn't something I do;" then you would be missing out on the creative flexibility of this great kit. The kit is filled with cute buttons, scissors, a spool of thread and so much more with wonderful sentiments to accompany all the lovely, handmade gifts your create for family and friends.
I had a fabulous time creating this card, a homage of sorts, to a beloved tool in my crafter's toolbox. I was drawn to the sewing machine. As a crafter, I often add a little stitching to my cards for that sew lovely finishing touch. I finished off the card with ribbon, thread and yes, a fabulous button from the coordinating die set. A special card "Handmade with Love."
