Miss You

Hello Fellow Crafters, Scrappers and Bloggers,

Here is a card I created for me husband to let him know I was thinking of him. My hubby is my favorite test subject when I design masculine cards. Honestly, I find creating masculine cards one of the hardest things for me to create as a card maker. It is difficult because all of my  favorite go to embellishments are off limits...butterflies, ribbon, bling, flowers, etc. In essence, anything that screams spring or femininity.

So what is a card maker to do? Face her fears head on and with a smile. I hope you enjoy the card.

Did Someone Say, "Easter Challenge?" Sign Me Up!

Hello Fellow Crafters,

Happy Easter! As a crafter,  you know how busy life can be; however, it is always nice to find a little time for crafting, and even better when I am challenged to craft and think outside the box.

I have been hoping to get back into doing more challenges this year, but time is limited with two little guys. I had an opportunity to visit a fellow crafter I admire, thank you Melissa, and her post mentioned a few Easter challenges she was participating in. And I thought, "Oh, let me check these out."

Needless to write, a few of the challenges were just perfect for my latest card creations. I made these cards for my family to celebrate the joy of Easter. I am entering them in the Strings and Thing" challenge over at  My Craft Spot, Little Scrap Pieces (use a bunny or Easter card) and Scrappy Moms Stamp (create an Easter themed card).

Thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy,

K

Good morning Fellow Scrappers and Crafters,

Happy Easter. Spring is here! And over at Just A Scrappin' we are stepping into spring with a pastel, easel card challenge.  Living in the mid-west, I am still dealing with snow on the ground. However, this week's challenge had me dreaming of warmer days to come. For this week's challenge, create an easel card using pastel colors.

Do not forget to hop on over and check out the designs from our fabulous design team.  You will be glad you did!

I am also entering this card in the Jellypark Design Challenge.

Enjoy,

JAS #45--Add Texture By Using Felt

Good morning Fellow Blogger, Crafter and Scrappers,

This week's Just A Scrappin' Challenge had me thinking outside the box and dreaming of warm, summer days. In addition, this challenge allowed me to raid my stash and use a felt embellishment I have held onto for the last six months or so (and I am being conservative regarding the timeframe).

So with out further ado, get out your felt embellishments, paper and adhesive because we are challenging our fellow crafters to use felt and the color orange to create a card, layout, or project. Please swing by the Just A Scrappin' blog to check out the fabulous projects from my fellow design team members. You will be glad you did!

Happy Scrapping!

K

JAS Challenge #44--Happy St. Patrick's Day

Good Morning Fellow Scrappers and Crafters,

Over at Just A Scrappin' we are sharing a few "green" designs in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. This week's challenge is to create a card, layout or project for that special guy in your life using a St. Patrick's Day motif and brads.

For this challenge, I tried out a new card fold, to me, called the Dutch Fold (thank you Kristine for demonstrating this fold). Add a little embossing, embroidery floss, a St. Patty's day button, and brads and voila a card for my special guy. Please stop by the Just A Scrappin' blog to view the wonderful projects made by the other design team members...you will be glad you did!

Happy Crafting,

K
